Our Social Enterprises

Maintaining Eden — Social Enterprise Food Truck
A mobile food enterprise serving organic bowls, wholesome drinks and community meals. Profits fund programs that feed, clothe and house people in need while activating local gathering spaces and community nights.

Heaven Collective Music — Mobile Recording & Distribution
A travelling studio that records, produces and publishes songs, voices and stories that would otherwise go unheard. We release work ethically, share revenue with contributors, and create community events and listening nights that celebrate place-based culture.

OUR STORY

Heaven Collective began in the Northern Rivers, emerging from community life in Nimbin, with a simple conviction: communities thrive when people are cared for, heard, and given space to create. In 2022, noticing the lack of consistent food services for people sleeping rough, we began a social food project that brought people together around shared meals and shared music.

What started as informal gatherings quickly grew into regular community nights, where locals, rough sleepers, musicians, and visitors came together in the same space.

Founded as a not-for-profit, Heaven Collective developed to hold this work as it expanded, growing into a living, travelling practice that feeds bodies, lifts voices, and strengthens neighbourhoods. Our social enterprise, Maintaining Eden, is a mobile food truck that serves organic, nourishing meals and creates local gathering spaces wherever we travel.

The enterprise model supports Heaven Collective’s work by funding free meals and practical community support.

In Nimbin, the food project became a catalyst for connection, with shared meals naturally forming the foundation for ongoing community nights. Today, at markets, community nights, and pop-up events, we continue to share food and create spaces where neighbours can gather, participate, and belong.

Alongside food and care, music has always been at the heart of what we do. In Nimbin, community nights evolved into open mic gatherings where local musicians were invited to play and anyone was welcome to share. Over time, people from across Australia and around the world contributed songs, spoken word, and stories. This spirit continues through Heaven Collective Music, our travelling studio and distribution arm.

As a mobile recording project, we seek out songs, stories, and voices that might otherwise go unheard. We record, produce, and publish collaboratively, with consent, cultural sensitivity, and fair revenue sharing, turning lived experience into shared culture through releases, listening nights, and performances.

Everything we do is grounded in respect: for people, for place, and for the equality of every person. Our approach values shared meals, creative expression, and time spent together as foundations for wellbeing and connection. As we travel, we work carefully within each community we enter, listening first and allowing local voices to shape what unfolds.

We are practical and hopeful, serving communities, inspiring transformation: one meal, one song, and one shared space at a time.

If you’d like to get involved: share a song, book the truck, attend a community night, or support our work, you’re welcome to join us. Together, we continue building spaces where people can gather, create, and flourish.
